Inter-Ocean Pass #890
The Inter-Ocean Pass Trail #890 begins at the end of Forest Service Road #798.2B, just past the Lone Cabin Reservoir, and ends at an intersection with the Little Coal Creek Jeep Trail #883 by Crawford, CO. The trail climbs through aspen and conifer to the Inter-Ocean Pass. At the pass the trail has spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and the valley below. It also provides access to the summit of Mount Lamborn. After reaching the top, the trail begins to descend and is interspersed with parks though the aspen. Elk and deer can often be seen here. It reaches the Little Coal Creek Jeep Trail after crossing Little Coal Creek which can be tricky as it has eroded into a steep gully and is fairly deep.
