Blixt #508.1A
The Blixt Trail #508.1A follows an old mining road, starting in the Ophir Valley on Forest System Road #630 and climbs steeply to Bridal Veil Basin. From FSR 630, the trail climbs above tree line past remnants of historic mining to a high saddle locally known as Oscar’s Pass. This trail then intersects the Wasatch Trail #508 and the Bridal Veil Trail #636.

Directions:Northern Access:
From Telluride: Drive east on Forest Service Road #648 for approximately 3.5 miles past the Pandora Mill site, switch backing up to the Bridal Veil Power plant. Bridal Veil Trail #636 begins starting at the road closure gate. Follow the Bridal Veil Trail for approximately 4 miles south to its intersection with the Blixt Trail.
Southern Access:
From Telluride: Follow Highway 145 west for approximately 3 miles and turn south, staying on 145. Continue south for approximately 6.5 miles to the intersection with Forest Service Road #630. Follow FSR #630 for approximately 3.5 miles to the Blixt Trail beginning.
