The Farris Creek Bypass Trail #409.5A begins at an intersection with the Farris Creek Trail #409 and ends at an intersection with the Doubletop Trail #405. The Farris Creek Trail is only open to motorcycles for the first 0.3 miles. This bypass trail is open to motorcycles and connects the Farris Creek Trail to the Doubletop Trail. This trail is a steady climb gaining 1,540 feet in about 2.6 miles.

General Information

Directions:

From Crested Butte: Travel south on Hwy 135 for approximately 1.8 miles to the intersection with County Road 738, Brush Creek Road. CR 738 becomes FSR 738 at the National Forest boundary. Turn left onto CR 738 and continue for approximately 3.5 miles to FSR 736, Farris Creek Road. Turn right onto FSR 736 and continue for approximately 1 miles to the beginning of the trail on the south side of the road. Follow the Farris Creek Trail #409 for approximately 0.3 miles to the beginning of the Farris Creek Bypass Trail.
