Dyke Creek #837


The Dyke Creek Trail #837 is a 1.07 mile spur trail located off of the Dyke Mountain Bike Trail #838. The Dyke Creek Trail #837 travels north into the Raggeds Wilderness and eventually intersects with the Silver Basin Trail #834. Note: Mountain Bikes are Prohibited in the Raggeds Wilderness. Herds of domestic sheep graze the area this trail passes through.  The combination of trail #837 & #838 is a favorite for mountain bike enthusiasts, beginning at Lake Irwin and ending at Horse Ranch Park.

General Information

Directions:

From Paonia: Travel northeast on Highway 133 for approximately 15 miles to County Road 12, Kebler Pass Road. Turn east onto CR 12 and continue east for approximately 19 miles.  Horse Ranch Park dispersed camping area is an open meadow on the left just over the bridge. Follow the Dyke Mountain Bike Trail #383 for approximately 1.5 miles to the intersection with the Dyke Creek Trail #837.

From Crested Butte: Travel west on County Road 12, Kebler Pass Road, for approximately 11 miles.  Horse Ranch Park dispersed camping area is an open meadow on the right just before the bridge. Follow the Dyke Mountain Bike Trail #383 for approximately 1.5 miles to the intersection with the Dyke Creek Trail #837.
