GUEST RIVER GORGE TRAIL (FT #216) - ClinchRD

The trail follows the old Norfolk/Southern Rail-Bed Route for 5.9 miles.  Originally used for hauling coal that was mined near the gorge, the Norfolk/Southern abandoned the rail-bed in 1988 and donated the land to the FS. The ties were removed but the trestles remained.
