Potts Mountain Jeep Trail (Forest Road # 5036)
Potts Mountain Jeep Trail (Forest Service Road 5036) offers a challenging four-wheel-drive experience with steep, rutted and rocky conditions along a narrow road.
This trail is not recommended for standard 4x4 vehicles and requires high clearance suspension and all terrain tires.
Winching capabilities are recommended. Drivers must be able to traverse large, jagged rocks on steep slopes. If you want an even more challenging adventure, black arrows mark the more challenging obstacle routes.

General Information
Directions:Directions: From I-81: From exit 141, take SR 419 north to SR 311 for 20 miles. Turn right onto VA 615 for five miles, then turn left onto Peaceful Valley Road (VA 611). Travel four miles to VA 617, then turn right. Travel seven miles, passing the Pines Campground. The Jeep Trailhead is just beyond the Pines Campground on the left.
