Caldwell Fields Group Campground

Caldwell Fields offers two large, open fields for group camping, Milton and George Fields, ideal for campers who require few amenities. A third field is available at the site for day-use only. The day use field is currently designated as a First Amendment Gathering Site.

Current Conditions: This site is open for the season.
Operational Hours: Check-in is 1:00 p.m. and check-out is 11:00 a.m. for both reservable fields.  Day-use area open sunrise to sunset. 
Reservations: Caldwell Fields Group Campground Reservation Information at Recreation.gov for George and Milton Fields.
No reservation required for the day-use area.   
Fees: $35 per night. Reservations for Milton and George Fields are required. 
The day-use area does not require a reservation or fee.
Open Season: mid-April - late-October
Restrictions: Sites are limited to 50 people and 20 vehicles. 
Closest Towns: Blacksburg, VA
Water: No drinking water available

Directions:

From Blacksburg, VA: Follow US 460 west for 2.8 miles. Turn right on Craig Creek Road (SR 621). Go 8.8 miles. Fields are on right.
