The Mill Mountain Trail ascends steeply to Great North Mountain ridge, with rock outcrops offering east and west vantage points. A spur trail leads to FT #1004A - Big Schloss at mile 1.8.

Information Center: Trail is located on National Geographic/Trails Illustrated Map #792.  It is recommended that all trail users carry a reliable map at all times.  Maps may be purchased at some local District Ranger Stations, at outdoor retail locations or by visiting the National Geographic’s Trails Illustrated website.

Directions:

From I-81:  Take exit 279 and head west on SR 675. Drive 3.5 miles to STOP sign at Highway 42. Turn right, and take next left to continue on SR 675. Drive 3.1 miles to a fork in the road. Stay right, on SR 675, and drive another 3.4 miles to the top of the mountain. The entrance to Wolf Gap Recreation Area is on your right. The trailhead is located behind campsite 9.
