Cave Springs Recreation Area is situated within the picturesque farming community of Olinger Gap. Highlights of this recreation area include a campground, small spring-fed pond, access to Stone Mountain Trail and Wilderness, and a short hike to an overlook of the Olinger Gap Community.

The America the Beautiful Interagency Pass series and the George Washington & Jefferson National Forests Seasonal Day Use Pass are accepted here and cover day use fees. The America the Beautiful Senior and Access Passes provide a 50% discount to the base campsite fee (not hook ups) and day use fees.

Directions:
From Kingsport, TN: Follow US23 North to Big Stone Gap, VA then follow Alternate 58 West for 2.5 miles to State SR 621. Make a right onto SR 621 and follow 6.1 miles to the Cave Springs entrance road on right.
From Abingdon, VA: Follow US 58/US 19 West to Hansonville, VA. Turn left onto US 58 Alternate to Big Stone Gap. At Big Stone Gap, remain on US 58 Alt. for 2.5 miles. Turn right onto SR 621 and go 6.1 miles to the Cave Springs entrance road on right.
