Waboose Cross Country Ski Trail

Area Status: Open
This area is Open

This is a short classic-style ski trail suitable for beginners to intermediate skiers. It is popular to locals for both exercise and leisure skiing. Waboose is the Native American Ojibwe word for rabbit. You will notice rabbit tracks crisscrossing the trail as well as other small wildlife species. Unfortunately, Waboose Ski Trail will not be groomed this season nor in the future, unless a volunteer or group decides to maintain it. If you or your group is looking to adopt a ski trail, please contact the St. Ignace Ranger Station at 906-643-7900.
