Marzinski Campground and Trail

The terrain is mostly flat through mixed hardwood forest and pine. The trail is marked with blue diamond-shaped markers on trees and cedar signs.

The campground is located in a pine forest.

Current Conditions: On September 12, 2022, the Marzinski Horse Camp gate will be closed for the season.  The Campground and the facilities will be closed, and camping will not be allowed for the remainder of the season. The Campground will be undergoing campsite improvement and maintenance.  If you have any questions, contact the Cadillac/Manistee Ranger District Office at 231-848-7090.
Operational Hours: Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week unless otherwise posted.

Permit Info: Special Use Permit -
  • No special use permit is required for individuals or small groups (74 people or less).
  • Permits are required for commercial, event or large groups (75 people or more).
