General Information

Directions: From Columbus: Travel west on IN 46 for 13 miles to IN 135 south. Take SR 135 south, 9 miles to Story. Veer off SR 135 at the Story Inn (this is Elkinsville Road, but it is unmarked). Travel 2.7 miles and pass a gravel road on your right. Take the left bend in the road and cross a bridge. Go 0.3 miles then turn left into the parking area. This newly constructed parking area was paid for with trail access fees. GPS Coordinates to the northern Trailhead: Lat- 39o 4' 46.103"N Long- 86o 14' 55.615"W, There is another trailhead west of the community of Houston. The coordinates to the southern Trailhead are: Lat- 39o 1' 6.266"N Long- 86o 14' 31.712"W

Mountain Biking

This 8.6 mile trail is designated for hiking, horse riding and mountain biking. The trail offers scenic views from the ridge-top trail. It requires a moderate skill level with lots of short climbs. The trail is a bit of a rollercoaster of ups and downs and most is single-track. It may be the most popular mountain bike trail on the Forest.
