Generally open May to October, as weather and conditions allow. Access to Kingston Canyon and Groves Lake. High clearance vehicle needed.
Surrounded by water birch, cottonwood, and Russian olive trees at the mouth of a canyon along a creek. Stream runs through the campground.

Directions:Big Creek Campground is located about 12 miles southwest of Austin.
1. Take US 50 West. Approximately one mile from Austin, take the Big Creek Campground turnoff.
2. Continue south for 11 miles on Forest Service Road 002.
