Lye Creek Campground
Lye Creek Campground is located in the Santa Rosa Mountain Range about 60 miles north of Winnemucca, Nevada. The campground is nestled in a grove of aspen trees along Lye Creek. There are 14 camping sites, including four double sites and one group site. These sites also have picnic tables, campfire rings, and BBQ pedestals. At this campground, recreation activities include river/stream fishing, mountain biking, backpack/day hiking, and off-highway vehicle riding. The Santa Rosa-Paradise Peak Wilderness is not accessible from the campground.

General Information
Directions:Both of these routes from Winnemucca are steep and winding single lanes. There are periodic pull-outs for passing. Drive cautiously.
Main Route:
- Take U. S. Highway 95 north out of Winnemucca for 22 miles to the junction with State Route 290, then north on SR290 18 miles to Paradise Valley, 16 miles north of Paradise Valley SR-792, heading toward Hinkey Summit.
- The road will change to a gravel road. Continue on the gravel road for two more miles.
Secondary Access:
- Take U.S Highway 95 north, turn east on to Canyon Creek Road (Forest Road 084).
- The road up Canyon Creek is marked Buckskin Canyon on Highway 95, about midway between Orovada and McDermitt.
