Green Creek Group Campground

Green Creek Group Campground is located about 12 miles from Bridgeport at an elevation of 7,500 feet. Massive Jeffrey pines tower over the site, offering partial shade. Aspens, junipers, sagebrush, and summer wildflowers dot the site. Green Creek is adjacent, with rainbow trout fishing. Green Creek Trail, for hiking and horses, can be accessed just outside the campground entrance. It leads to Green Lake and further on to East Lake. Rugged peaks surround both large lakes, with good backcountry fishing and beautiful scenery.

This primitive campground contains two group sites that can accommodate up to 25-50 people, with large picnic tables, fire rings, BBQ grills, and bear boxes. Vault toilets, potable water, and garbage service are provided. Roads and parking spurs are dirt.

Generally open in late May to early September, weather and condition permitting.
