Named for the very large Jeffery pines that grace the site, Big Trees Campground is located along the banks of Bishop Creek and affords nice camping and fishing opportunities. Some sites in shade and some in open sunlight. Bear proof food storage containers available in the campground. 16 campsites.

Restrictions: Dogs on leash only. Maximum stay 7 days. Active bear area. All food must be secured overnight and when not attended; bear boxes are provided and must be used (typical bear box size 48" x 30" x 36"). Always keep a clean camp and do not feed wildlife.

Directions:

From Bishop go west on State Route 168 (West Line St) for approximately 9 miles. The campground is on the left just past the 7,000 foot elevation sign.
