Known for the fishing, Intake 2 is a small lake along the road to Lake Sabrina, just past the South Lake turn off. There are 5 walk in sites on the west shore of the lake and 11 sites suitable for small vehicles near the creek above Intake 2.

Current Conditions: Tentative Closing Date: October 28, 2024. Southern California Edison (SCE) plans to perform safety repairs to the service spillway at Intake No. 2 reservoir from July 7 - October 31, 2024, mobilizing on July 7. Water levels will be reduced by ~13 feet. Public access may be restricted Monday-Saturday, sunrise to sunset; subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances including weather.
