Located six miles west of the town of Lone Pine, California this campground is seven miles by road from the popular Whitney Portal Recreation Area.  The Whitney Portal National Recreation Trail begins at west end of the campground. Other popular activities near the campground include hiking, exploring the Alabama Hills movie history, and fishing nearby streams. Firewood for sale at the campground.

Sites up to 40 feet long. 42 Single campsites, 1 Double site, and 1 Walkin Group site.
Some sites may be available first come, first serve.

Reservations: Summer season sites can be reserved by calling Toll Free 1-877-444-6777 (International 518-885-3639 or TDD 877-833-6777) or on-line at http://www.recreation.gov Winter season, sites are self register when you arrive, first come, first serve.
Fees Standard sites $22.00 per night.  Group site $60.00 per night.
Restrictions: Active bear area, bear boxes are provided and must be used (typical bear box size 48" x 30" x 36").
