Lemonade Peak Trail #555

Lemonade Peak and Pierce Trail Junction

Description: This 3.3 mile single track secondary trail accesses Lemonade Peak and Trail 8 Coeur d’Alene Divide. Some of the very best wildflower displays are found atop this ridge in Early June, and it is the wildflowers that are the primary attraction of this trail. Climbing gradually from the southern trailhead, Trail 555 passes though clusters of bear grass, lupine, penstemon, Indian paintbrush, and camas, as it approaches the old lookout site on top of Lemonade Peak. Fantastic views of the St. Joe Baldy area and of the entire Big Creek drainage also add to the appeal of this trail. When Lemonade Peak Trail intersects the private property in the north, it takes some reconnaissance to find Trail 8 but it can be done.
