Several dispersed camp sites are available next to Granite Creek. This trail leads to Granite Peak and intersects with Trail #137. Fantastic views of the upper Prichard Creek drainage, Revett Lake and Tiger Peak can be seen from the upper reaches of this trail.
Access #1: From Coeur d'Alene, Idaho drive east on I-90 taking the Kingston Exit #43. After exiting, travel north on Forest Highway 9 (FH9) 23 miles to Forest Road #208 (FR208). Turn east and continue on FH-9 through Murray, Idaho for another 3.7 miles, making a right turn at Granite Gulch Road. The trailhead is approximately .1 mile up Granite Gulch. Follow signs.
Access #2: From Wallace, Idaho drive north 7.2 miles on FR456 to Dobson Pass. Turn a hard right and travel toward Sunset Peak. Follow the trail signs to Trail #137 that junctions with the upper end of Trail #140.
