Big Springs cabin rentals are located within the North Kaibab Ranger District

The Big Springs cabin site is located approximately 30 miles from Fredonia, Ariz., on Forest Service Road 22, about an hour drive from the north rim of the Grand Canyon.

The cabins are about a 35-minute drive from the Rainbow Rim Trail, a winding 18-mile hiking and mountain biking trail on the forest that offers stunning views from five scenic overlooks along the north rim of the Grand Canyon.

The cabins are a perfect base camp for day hikes on the Kaibab Plateau, or for group retreats in the cool pines.

Visitors can enjoy picnicking, sight-seeing, wildlife viewing and access to additional scenic overlooks of the Grand Canyon from within the forest and other points of interest.

Restrictions:	Restrictions are posted. RVs and tent camping prohibited. Pets not permitted, except for service animals. Parking is limited to two vehicles per cabin. RV’s aren’t permitted to park inside cabin area. These rental cabins are next to an active Forest Service administrative site. Please be considerate while sharing this property and understand that you do not have access to the administrative area.

Water:	Drinking water available for daily personal use.
Restroom:	There is a shared toilet & shower facility on site, but not in the cabins.
Information Center:	There is no cell phone service at this location. A cabin manual is located inside the main dining hall to answer visitor questions and provide guests with area information. These are very old historic buildings; please treat the facility carefully to prevent further wear. This is an active Forest Service administrative site. Please be considerate while sharing this property and understand that you do not have access to the administrative area. There are seven cabins; each cabin has two twin-size beds and one full-size bed. There are toilets on site, but not in the cabins. Bring your own linens, towels, and pillows. There are no laundry facilities.
