Jacob Lake Campground

Most people come to this campground because it is located on the main access route to the Grand Canyon's North Rim. Campers at Jacob Lake don't have to drive at all to take advantage of excellent opportunities for hiking, sightseeing, and wildlife viewing. Jacob Lake Campground offers 51 camp sites and is located 30 miles south and east of Fredonia at the intersection of US 89A and AZ 67, which are both paved highways.

Current Conditions: Generally open May through September for overnight camping, depending on weather. For specific dates and reservations contact www.recreation.gov or call 877-444-6777.
Fees: For fees and reservations go to the www.recreation.gov website or via telephone at 877-444-6777.
Best Season: Late Spring to early Fall.
Restrictions:
  • Check out time is 2 p.m.
  • Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash.
  • It is strictly forbidden to drain wastewater onto the ground.
  • All campgrounds limit campers to a 14-day stay.
  • Tents, trailers and small motor homes are allowed, but there are no utility hookups available.
     
Water: Drinking water for daily personal use.
Restroom: Yes. Four vault toilets.
