Trail Creek Campground
Area Status: Closed
Trail Creek is located along the East Fork of the South Fork Salmon River at approximately 5,000 ft. elevation. Access to the campground is by Forest Rd. 39N08, off of paved County Rd. 1C02 (Callahan-Cecilville Rd). The campground has 12 campsites that are well-shaded, vault toilets, and potable water. The nearby Trinity Alps and Russian Wildernesses provide plenty of hiking and fishing opportunities.

Day Hiking
This small campground offers great day hiking opportunities into several lakes in the Trinity Alps and Russian Wildernesses. Access to the Pacific Crest Trail is nearby for longer day trips. Backpacking
Just south of Trail Creek Campground on the Forest Service Road is Fish Lake Trailhead. Trails from here take you south along Fish Lake Creek to Fish Lake and points south deep into Trinity Alps Wilderness.
