The river access is a graded gravel road to a cobble bar.

Nordheimer Campground is administered by the Six Rivers National Forest.

Fees No fee for river access. Campground and group camps require fee.
Permit Info: A current California Campfire Permit is required to use a camp stove, barbecue or have a campfire. Local fire restrictions supersede the campfire permit. Inquire at the Ranger Station before having a fire.

Water: Drinking water in campground in summer.

General Information

Directions: From Orleans travel 8 miles north on Hwy 96 to Somes Bar. Go east on county road 2B01 approx 14 miles to the campground. Drive down to the cobble bar on the river.
