Sylvan Lake Campground


The Sylvan Lake Campground is located southeast of Libby on road 154. The campground has 5 sites with tables and fire rings.  Campground roads and parking spurs are of native soil. Amenities include a vault toilet.

Operational Hours: THIS CAMPGROUND WILL BE CLOSED IN 2018. This closure is for hazard tree removal caused by the Moose Peak Fire.
Reservations: All sites are on a first come first serve basis.

Busiest Season: Summer
Restrictions: 16 day stay limit on all National Forest System Lands. Pets are welcome, but must be leashed. Lighting of fireworks is not allowed on National Forest System Lands.

Information Center: Directions: From Libby travel south on Hwy 2 for approximately   miles to McGinnis Meadow road 516. Follow road 516 for    miles to the junction with road 7150. Follow road 7150 for approximately miles to the junction with road 154.  Follow road 154 south for approximately 1 mile to the campground.  Dump facilities, showers, laundry, gas, ice and store are located at Happy's Inn.

Boating - Motorized

Sylvan Lake is 21.5 acres in size. Therefore limiting it to a no-wake lake.

Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks regulate all watercraft operating on public lakes and reservoirs that are 35 acres or fewer are limited to a no-wake speed.
