Butte Meadows Campground


Area Status: Closed

Developed campground along Butte Creek with 13 designated sites.  Maximum of 8 people per site.  Campfire rings and tables provided.

Current Conditions: Butte Meadows will close October 3,  2022. Until water testing is completed, a boil order is in place.

Fees: $12 per site per night
Open Season: Mid-May - Early-October
Usage: Medium-Heavy
Busiest Season: Summer
Restrictions: Include: campfires in fire rings only, all animals must be on a managed six (6) foot leash, quiet hours from 10pm to 6 am, no fireworks, must occupy site first night, and every night thereafter. 
Closest Towns: Located in the town of Butte Meadows, approximately 1/2 mile northeast of the USFS Work Center on Humboldt Road.  35 miles northeast of Chico; turn off Highway 32 to Butte Meadows.
Water: Drinking water available
Restroom: Vault toilets
