Canyon Dam Boat Launch

***Lassen National Forest currently has a very limited capacity to conduct snow removal at Canyon Dam Boat Launch. Please call the Almanor Ranger District at 530-258-2141 for information on the current condition of the boat launch.
The Canyon Dam Boat Launch and Day Use Area is located near the southeast corner of Lake Almanor. It is administered by the Lassen National Forest. This is also the southern terminus of the Lake Almanor Recreation Trail, an 11 mile non-motorized trail.
With Lake Almanor having a very low water level, one lane of the boat ramp remains closed. Use caution when launching, as the boat ramp pavement ends abruptly. The end of the pavement is marked by a brown marker in the water.
Future temporary closures may occur for additional tree removal and planned dock repairs.
