Canyon Dam Boat Launch

The Canyon Dam Boat Launch and Day Use Area is located near the southeast corner of Lake Almanor. It is administered by the Lassen National Forest. This is also the southern terminus of the Lake Almanor Recreation Trail, an 11 mile non-motorized trail.

Future temporary closures may occur for additional tree removal and planned dock repairs.

Operational Hours: Day use hours are 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
Rentals & Guides: Special Use Permits through the USFS required to guide out of Canyon Dam Boat Launch.
Fees: None
Permit Info: Special Use Permit through the USFS required for special events launching out of Canyon Dam Boat Launch, including fishing tournaments.
Busiest Season: Summer and Winter.
Restrictions: Include: vehicles in designated parking areas only, no overnight stays permitted, no fireworks, all animals must be on a six (6) foot leash.
