Elam Campground

Area Status: Closed

Elam is a developed campground along upper Deer Creek with 15 designated sites; most can accommodate a small to medium size RV.  Fire rings and tables provided. Elam campground is situated along Deer Creek at the confluence with Elam Creek. Elam Campground is a very popular destination for stream anglers hoping to catch a limit of trout. Deer Creek is regularly stocked with Rainbow Trout during the summer months.

Deer Creek has special fishing regulations, please refer to the California Department of Fish and Wildlife website for more information on regulations and fish stocking information.

Reservations: This campground is non-reservable. All campsites are available on a first come first served basis. Saving campsites is prohibited.
Fees: $14 per site per night. Pass holders receive a 50% discount on the camping fee. Please see the campground information boar to find out which passes are accepted at this location.

Restrictions: Campfires in fire rings only, all animals must be on a managed six (6) foot leash, quiet hours from 10pm to 6 am, no fireworks, must occupy site first night, and every night thereafter. Saving campsites is strictly prohibited.
Closest Towns: Chester, CA is 30 minutes away and Chico, CA is 1 hour away. From Chico, travel east 55 miles on Highway 32.
