Hat Creek Campground is situated in a mixed coniferous forest, adjacent to Hat Creek. Stream fishing in Hat Creek contains trophy trout. The scenic Spatter Cones Trail is just across the street. The fun and adventurous Subway Cave is only a mile to the north.
