T119 Upper Trailhead

Trail #119: The "A" trail is 5.0 miles long. One of only a few trails that connect Alamogordo to the Sacramento Mountains. 

Eastern-most Trailhead:  Follow "West Side Road" or Forest Road 90 south about 7 miles until you reach the trailhead for T5574.  Follow this trail downhill 0.3 miles until you reach the junction between T1129 and T5574 (veer left) - Coordinates:  32 52 58.0 degrees N by -105 51 27.5 degrees W

Western-most Trailhead:  CLOSED: The trailhead from Alamogordo is a little tricky to find.  Take 10th St east until you reach the end, turn left at the fire station and continue for about 0.1 mile.  You may park here but you will need to walk up the wash to find the trailhead.  Coordinates:  32 53 59.0 degrees N by -105 55 1.9 degrees W

Usage:  Pedestrian, horse and mountain bike traffic only through the lower portion.  Motorcycle traffic east of private land (dead end - no loop)
