Pope Beach is located on the south shore of beautiful Lake Tahoe on Highway 89 approximately three miles northwest of the City of South Lake Tahoe. This quiet beach location is nestled among native pine trees. Pope Beach is a National Forest day-use area operated by private concessionaire, Tahoe Recreation a division of Vista Recreation. Restrooms and picnic tables are available.

Please note: Wood and charcoal fires are not permitted. Propane (gas) stoves and appliances with an on/off valve are allowed with a valid CA Campfire Permit.
