Genoa Peak Road (14N32) is located on National Forest lands on the East Shore of Lake Tahoe and is typically accessible beginning Memorial Day through Nov. 15, weather permitting. This National Forest Road traverses the Carson Range from north to south and can be reached from Kingsbury Grade on the south end or Spooner Summit to the north. Genoa Peak Road offers miles of hiking and OHV trails with spectacular views of Lake Tahoe and the Carson Valley. Campfires (wood, charcoal or any other solid fuels) are not permitted. Portable stoves that have an on/off switch or valve are allowed with a valid permit.
