Delintment Lake Campground provides a wide variety of recreation facilities and activities for the whole family.  The campground has 29 campsites, a group camping area, a natural non-motorized boat launch, beach area, fishing pier, 12 picnic sites, water, and hosts on site during the summer months.  Hike the trail along the banks or fish from the dam or pier.

The two loop campground offers camping sites near the shore as well as higher on the bank.  The road access is paved up to the campground from Burns, Oregon.  Please pack out what you pack in, no trash service is provided. 

Public should be aware warmer weather can bring blue-green algae blooms to lakes. Please read the attached information for what to look for and what to do should you encounter a blue-green algae bloom.

At a Glance

Current Conditions: 12/08/2021: The campground is open. Visitors should be prepared for rapidly changing weather conditions. Some roads become impassible due to snow, ice or mud during the winter months. Water is off. Please be aware that bathrooms will not be cleaned every day. Pack it in/Pack it out- anything you bring with you into the forest, please take home with you. This includes packing out all trash, yours and others. Examples: cigarette butts, cans, bottles, and food. Please follow local and state health guidelines.

General Information

Directions:

From Burns, OR., travel west on US Highway 20 to the junction with the Burns-Izee Road 127.  Continue on the Burns-Izee Road approximately 11 miles to the junction with Forest Road 41.  Follow Forest Road 41 approximately 31 miles to the campground.


General Notes:

Drinking water is available only during warmer months; water will be shut off from early to mid-October until mid to late May or early June depending on temperatures.

In addition to the regular drive-in campsites there are 6 walk-in tent-only sites.

RV Camping

The camp ground has pull through sites and can accomodate up to a 30' set up, including the vehicle.  Enjoy the beautiful setting along Delintment Lake, allowing visitors the opportunity to fish and relax in this beautiful wooded setting.

Lake and Pond Fishing

Fishing is a popular activity at this campground.  Anglers can find out more on regulations and license information by visiting the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife.

Viewing Wildlife

Visitors to the area can enjoy a wide variety of wildlife from big game animals such as mule deer and prong horn antelope to many types of birds and smaller creatures such as squirrels and chipmunks.

Picnicking

12 picnic sites allow visitors the opportunity to enjoy a day of fishing, swimming or relaxing and then enjoying a quiet picnic.  

Boating - Non-Motorized

Non-motorized boats such as kayaks and canoes allow visitors to enjoy the lake in the quiet timbered setting.

Swimming in the lake is very popular.
