Vega Creek Trail
The Vega Creek Trail #164 is 9.2 miles long. It begins at The Causeway (Road #095) and ends at North Cottonwood Road #192 on BLM land. The trail travels in a canyon along Vega Creek, an intermittent stream. The south end of the trail is located in ponderosa pine forest near Chippean Rocks and the north end in the low desert country south of Canyonlands National Park. Forest Trail #008 (Reservoir Canyon) is accessed from this trail. This trail is intersected by Trail #008 which is open to OHV’s less than 50 inches. The south end of this trail is on BLM land and can be accessed off SR211 and Forest Road #192 from Indian Creek.

General Information
Directions:From Monticello, turn west onto 200 South and stay left at the Y onto Abajo Dr., continue on North Creek (FH 49- Loop/Harts Draw) and travel approximately 4.7 miles. Turn left onto Forest Road #079 (Indian Creek) and continue approximately 17.3 miles. Turn right onto Forest Road #095 (The Causeway) and continue approximately 14.2 miles to Vega Creek Trail #164 located on your right.
