Highway 31 Trail

The Highway 31 Trail #5974 (Arapeen Route #12) is 4.4 miles in length and parallels Utah Highway 31 from Huntington Reservoir to Forest Road #50150, South Skyline Drive.  It provides a popular trail loop connection between South Skyline and the Miller Flat Road #50014.

Restrictions: Open to:  Hiking, Mountain Biking, Horseback Riding, Motorcycle Trail Riding, ATV Trail Riding, Off Highway Vehicles (OHV) less than or equal to 60 inches wide with four or more low pressure tires.  This trail is closed seasonally during spring runoff to protect resources.
Closest Towns: Fairview, UT
Water: Bring your own water for day trips.
Restroom: Facilities are available at Huntington Reservoir and Big Drift Staging Area.

Directions:

From Fairview on US-89, turn east onto 400 North and continue straight onto UT-31/Canyon Road for approximately 18.3 miles.  Turn right onto Miller Flat Road #50014 and travel approximately 0.7 miles. Turn right onto Forest Road #53173 (Lake Canyon Host Site) and travel approximately 0.4 miles to Highway 31 Trail #5974.
