Lake Canyon Trail System

Area Status: Open

The Lake Canyon Trail System includes a 10-mile network of trails that provide access throughout the Lake Canyon Recreation Area including access to Cleveland and Huntington Reservoir.  All trails are included in the Arapeen System and are rated easy with the exception of the three learner loops which are more difficult.

Restrictions: Open to:  Hiking, Mountain Biking, Horseback Riding, Off Highway Vehicles (OHV) less than or equal to 50 inches wide. Trails are closed seasonally during spring runoff at the same time the Miller Flat Road is closed.
Closest Towns: Fairview and Huntington, UT
Water: Bring your own water for day trips.
Restroom: Several restrooms are located throughout the Lake Canyon Recreation Area.

Directions:

From Fairview on US-89, turn east onto 400 North and continue straight onto UT-31/Canyon Road for approximately 18.3 miles.  Turn right into snowmobile parking lot and from here you can access the Lake Canyon Trail System.
