Warner Lake Campground is at 9200 foot elevation. There are 20 camp sites in an aspen grove. A group area accommodates up to 50 campers, and a small cabin sleeps up to 4. Views of the surrounding La Sal Mountain peaks are stunning. This site is particularly attractive in fall. Fishing for rainbow trout in the lake and hiking on the extensive trail system accessed from the trailhead at the campground (below) are great options. Signs offer information about the area. No powerboats are allowed on Warner Lake. This site is about 1.5 hours' drive from Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. Hiking information: Miners Basin Foot Trail (foot) - 2 miles Warner Lake-Oowah Lake Trail (foot) - 2 miles Burro Pass Trail (foot) - 4 miles Dry Fork-Beaver Basin Trail (foot) - 5 miles. Please drive slowly on the gravel road leading to the campground.
From Moab, go south on US 191 to the turn marked Ken's Lake/ La Sal Mountain Loop Road. Turn left onto county road and then right at a T-intersection (Spanish Valley Drive/La Sal Mountain Loop Road). Continue on this road following signs for La Sal Mountain Loop Road for 13.5 miles past the turn off for Oowah Lake. Turn right at the sign for Warner Lake and follow the gravel road to the campground, 5 miles. Drive slowly on gravel road leading to campground.
