Cream Pots Trail
The Cream Pots Trail #005 is 1.4 miles long. It begins at Forest Road #399 and ends at the intersection of Forest Trail #012 (Hammond Canyon) and Forest Trail #166 (Posey Trail). This trail is often used to access the Hammond Canyon and Posey Trails from Forest Road #399. This trail descends steeply from Forest Road #399 to the trail junction at the bottom of Hammond Canyon.
Elevation Change: 250 feet of elevation loss from Forest Road #399 to intersection with Hammond Canyon (#012) and Posey Trail (#166).

From Blanding, head south on US-191 S/S Main St and travel 3.9 miles. Turn right onto UT-95 N and travel 6.3 miles. Turn right onto Co Rd 228/Cottonwood and travel 4.9 miles. Slight left to stay on Co Rd 288/Cottonwood and travel 0.4 miles. Continue onto South Elks Road #092 and travel 9.3 miles. Turn right onto Forest Road #399 and travel 2.8 miles to Cream Pots Trail #005.
Accessibility:
Forest Road #399 is a rough, sometimes impassable dirt road. There are tight turns with steep drop-offs along this road. Users may prefer to park on Elks Road (Forest Road #311) and travel from there along Forest Road #399 2.6 miles to the Cream Pots Trailhead.
