Dry Lake Campground is located 8 miles northeast of Steamboat Springs, Colorado on the Buffalo Pass Road. This small campground is surrounded by Aspen, Spruce and Fir trees and is in a good location to access some great hiking and biking on the roadway and the Spring Creek Trail.

Dry lake is only 8 inches deep and dries up in early summer and does not offer fishing.

Camping limit is 14 days in 30 day period. It is within a reasonable driving distance of community events and the commercially operated Strawberry Park Hot Springs.

Dry Lake has 8 campsites and each include a fire grate and picnic table. Vault toilets and trash services are available. No potable water, campers should come prepared with their own water.

Trailer spaces are available with a maximum length of 20 feet.

Dry Lake Campground will be closed until 2025 as it undergoes construction for the season. To make a reservation, please go to Recreation.gov. Campsites open up 2 weeks in advance. There are a couple first come, first served sites. 
Fees: $26 per site. Exact cash or check only as there is no option for change back if paying cash. 
NO CREDIT CARDS accepted. Payment instructions are found on the kiosk.

Usage: Heavy
Restrictions: Dogs must remain leashed at all times in the campground. Lake does not offer fishing and is often dried up. No potable water available.

Directions from Steamboat Springs, Colorado: Travel 4 miles north of Steamboat Springs on Routt County Road #36 (Strawberry Park Rd), then 3.6 miles east on Routt County Road #38 (Buffalo Pass Rd). The campground is located to the north of the road.
