Popular winter parking area for snowmobilers accessing the east summit motorized use area on Rabbit Ears Pass.
This parking lot often fills up on the weekends due to its accessibility to the popular groomed 1A trail. The 1A trail follows the the Continental Divide north and south with lots of opportunities for off trail riding.
Winter outhouse and camping available. Winter campers should be aware there is a 14-day stay limit within 30 days on Routt National Forest. You may camp in the Forest for recreation but it may not be your only home, even if staying in the Forest for less than the 14 day limit.
Located in the Steamboat Springs Area and managed by the Hahns Peak/Bears Ears Ranger District.
