Percy Lake Trailhead

Area Status: Open

Designated trailhead for motorized access to Percy Lake. No developed facilities. Setting is managed forest area. Ample parking is available at the trailhead. Water is available at several small creek crossings. Campsites are available at Lake Percy and Round Lake. The trail is situated in a natural corridor between several areas that have been harvested for timber. Horse forage is scarce, except along the Continental Divide. Timberline is at approximately 10,500 feet elevation.

Directions:

Directions from Walden: Head west on Highway 14 for 11 miles to Hebron. Take County Road 24 west through forks with County Roads 5 and 1. After approximately 10 miles the road becomes Forest Road 60 and passes the Grizzly Creek Guard Station at the forest boundary. Go west one mile, then turn left (south) on Forest Road 20, traveling south for approximately 7 miles to the trailhead entrance signed on the right-hand side.
