Ryan Park Campground is located on the Snowy Range Scenic Byway, State Highway 130 near Saratoga, Wyoming. The campground is next to Barrett Creek in the Medicine Bow National Forest (Moose Trail follows the perimeter).
The Civilian Conservation Corps used this site as a prisoner of war camp in the 1930s. Although little remains, visitors can learn more from the historic interpretive signs at the campground.

AMENITIES: Picnic tables, vault toilets, potable water, fire grates and trash service.

NUMBER OF SITES: 49 campsites (13 RV pull throughs), and a group site


  Please check with the Brush Creek Hayden Ranger station prior to your arrival to find out if campfires are allowed as fire restrictions and fire bans can go into effect at any given time

ACTIVITES: In addition to exploring the historic sites, visitors can enjoy hiking, mountain biking, fishing, picnicking (also available at nearby Mirror Lake), horseback riding and wildlife viewing.

Reservations: RESERVATIONS: Sites are reservable through www.recreation.gov or by calling 877-444-6777.  Reservations can be made up to 6 months in advance.  Sites that are not reserved can be taken on a walk-in basis (if available). STAY LIMIT: The maximum stay is 14 nights.

General Information


From Saratoga travel south on Highway 130 eight miles, then east on Highway 130 east for 15 miles.  The campground is east of the small community of Ryan Park.
