West Cady Ridge Trail 1054
Enter Wild Sky Wilderness and climb switchbacks up West Cady Ridge, where Columbia, Kyes and Glacier Peaks come into view. Once you reach the ridge top water sources are scarce. Continue into Henry M. Jackson Wilderness amidst meadows of huckleberry bushes and fall colors when the huckleberry leaves turn a brilliant vermillion red. As you follow the ridge top trail east, look for an uphill spur trail for a 0.2 mile side trip up Benchmark Mountain at 5,816 feet elevation. The trail end is its junction with Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail 2000, one mile east of Benchmark Mountain.
