Sulphur Creek Campground

This campground offers a more primitive, quiet camping experience. Situated along Sulphur Creek and the Suiattle River, were every campsite can hear the rushing water. Activities in the area include fishing, hiking, and bicycle riding. This campground is mostly shaded by large old Douglas Fir trees. Relatively private sites and creek front sites are available. Popular with those seeking a quiet getaway this campground is an ideal base camp to access many area trails.

General Information


From Darrington travel north on SR 530 approx 7 miles to the Suiattle River road/Forest Road #26. Drive this road for approx 22 miles to the campground, located on the right/south side of the road.

Campground Map

A picnic table, tent pad and fire ring is available at each campsite. Garbage service is not available. Vault toilets. No drinking water available, so bring your own supplies. The campground will normally be hosted from Buck Creek Campground, from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend, when it becomes accessible again, an attendant will be visiting the campground two to four times daily. Some of the campsites in Sulpher Creek will be available with reservations; others will be available on a first served basis.
