Evergreen Lookout Trail 1056

Climb steeply the first half mile on Forest Service Road 6554 through the old Evergreen Mountain Burn of 1967 and enter Wild Sky Wilderness. Continue hiking through tall timber of old-growth fir, hemlock and alpine meadows into wild flowers, blueberries and huckleberries in season. Enjoy 360-degree views of the Skykomish District and the Beckler river valley below at the Evergreen Lookout. On a clear day you can see Mt. Rainier to the south, Glacier Peak to the north and the nearby Monte Cristo Peaks.
