Arch Rock Trail 1187

This trail connects the Pacific Crest Trail to Greenwater Lakes Trail 1176 just south of Echo lake. The entire trail is within the Norse Peak Wilderness.

Experience deep forests and rock bluffs without encountering many people along the way.  A great hike though wildflowers in season. Start at the south end of Echo Lake, take the bridge across Greenwater River and head north around the east side of Echo Lake. Your trail will join the eastern side of the trail around Echo Lake and campsite at .3 miles. Most of the elevation gain is through shady forest that opens up to views in the last 1,000 feet. At mile 2.4 you will find a campsite and creek. The trail connects with Pacific Crest Trail 2000 at mile 3.1. On a clear day see Mt. Rainier and the Olympic mountains in the distance along with the entire Eastern Cascades.
