Lake Buffalo
Lake Buffalo is a 22-acre lake that offers fishermen a quiet retreat. It is regularly stocked with trout by the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources. Lake Buffalo is located near the town of Bartow.
Facilities include a parking lot, a picnic area, and a concrete boat ramp. While the lake is open year-round, toilets are closed in winter. For those looking for an extended stay there are dispersed campsites in the area. Also located close by is Island Campground.

General Information
Directions:From Bartow, take US-250S to WV-28N, Stay on WV-28N for 0.3 miles to Forest Road 54, take Forest Rd. for 2.5 miles and the parking area will be on your right.
Activities
Dispersed Camping
Some dispersed camping is available in the area however, Island Campground is close by located on State Route 28.
Lake and Pond Fishing
Regularly stocked with trout by the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources. Also has an accessible fishing area.
A valid West Virginia State Fishing License is required, along with a National Forest stamp, a Conservation stamp, and a trout stamp. Please contact the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources for more information on fishing and hunting licensing requirements.
Boating - Motorized
Boating is limited to electric trolling motors. Facilities include vault toilets, a parking lot, and a concrete boat ramp.
