Cave Lake Campground

Area Status: Open

The campground at Cave Lake is lightly used and can be the perfect place for a weekend or week long getaway. Deer hunting season, in the fall, is the busiest time of year.

Current Conditions:	1/15/2025:Winter safety warning! There is snow on the ground. It is not recommended to access this area by vehicle for your safety due to winter conditions. There is no water or trash service.
Reservations:	Reservations are not accepted. All sites are first come, first served. $15/night
Fees:	$15/single site per day with a maximum of two vehicles.
Open Season:	Facilities open as weather permits; usually early July to late October.
Usage:	Light
Restrictions:	Dogs shall remain on leash within developed recreation areas. Please clean up after your dog. Trash collection is not provided; Take all trash, fish guts and dog waste with you.. Camping limit 14 days. Campfires are allowed within the metal fire rings provided.

General Information

Directions: From Lakeview, Oregon go south 14 miles on US Hwy 395 and into California to County Road 2. Turn east on County Road 2 and continue for 7 miles to the campground. From Alturas travel north on US Hwy 395 approximately 38 miles to County Road 2. Turn east on County Road 2 and continue for 7 miles to the campground.
