Big Sage Campground

Big Sage Reservoir and campground are surrounded by juniper woodland and sagebrush. The reservoir is several thousand acres and the campground lies on the shore near the boat ramp.

General Information
Directions:
From Alturas travel west on Hwy 299, 3 miles. Turn north on Crowder Flat Rd/County Road 73, and travel 6 miles. Turn right on County Road 180 and go 3.5 miles to Big Sage Dam and the campground.

Lake and Pond Fishing
Fishing at Big Sage Reservoir is just a short walk from the campground. The reservoir is stocked by the California Dept of Fish and Wildlife. All California fishing laws apply and all anglers over the age of 16 must have a valid fishing license in possession.
