Soup Springs Trailhead

Area Status: Open

Two trails begin at the Soup Springs campground.  One for hikers starts just at the entrance to the campground and the other begins at the corrals.  Both meet a short way later, forming the Slide Creek Trail.  Slide Creek Trail then connects with Mill Creek Trail and then on up to Summit Trail.

General Information

Directions: From Alturas go south on US Hwy 395 approximately 18 miles to Likely, CA. Turn east on County Road 64/Jess Valley Rd and go 3.2 miles to Blue Lake Road and West Warner Road. Turn left (northeast) on West Warner Road for 5 miles to Forest Road 40N24. Turn right on 40N24 and go 4.5 miles to the campground.
